Big wall adventure in Greenland - part two
I want you to know that this e(pic)xpedition was very competitive. I mean, only one person can be chosen to lead the first pitch of the impossible wall, and i wanted to be that person. I trained hard before leaving California. I hauled bags, I practiced jumaring the Belgian way, I ate chocolate. Most importantly I reviewed my personal philosophy on rock paper scissors. R P S is where the real winners and losers are made on any expedition… A winning throw is important in what it can get you (a private bunk or the first pitch) and for what it can get you out of (doing dishes, sleeping in the pitching/heaving bow bunk).
